Every tameable mob in Minecraft with step-by-step taming instructions. Tame mobs to gain loyal companions and helpers.
Taming Tips
- - Approach slowly and crouch to avoid scaring shy mobs.
- - Have plenty of the taming item ready, as most require multiple attempts.
- - Tamed mobs show heart particles when successfully tamed.
- - Most tamed mobs will follow and protect their owner.
How to Tame
Repeatedly mount the horse until hearts appear. Each attempt has a 5% base chance, increasing by 5% each try.
Can also be bred with Golden Carrots. 7 base colors and 5 marking patterns create 35 variants. Health ranges from 15-30 HP.

Feed seeds (wheat, melon, pumpkin, or beetroot seeds). 1/3 chance per seed to tame.
5 color variants: red, blue, green, cyan, gray. Feeding a cookie kills the parrot instantly.

Feed bones to a wild wolf. Each bone has a 1/3 chance to tame. Collar appears when tamed.
Tamed wolves have 20 HP (10 hearts). When tamed, HP increases and damage is boosted. Can be dyed with any color to change collar color. Wolf Armor was added in 1.20.5.

Form caravans: leash one llama and up to 9 more will follow in a chain. Spit deals only 1 damage.
